  • Jerrmein Abu Shahba

    Jerrmein Abu Shahba, originally from Egypt and guided by the grace of Allah (swt) to the truth path of AhlulBayt (as), obtained masters in Chemistry and is a Clinical Research Scientist by profession. She contributes as a writer for different Islamic magazines including AIM, Muslims4peace, The Muslim Vibe, and Stand with Dignity. Jerrmein volunteers as an editor for the al-Islam.org website and translates Islamic literature to propagate the teachings of AhlulBayt (as) and serve in any capacity possible.

    Reihaneh is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Multimedia Journalism. She is a freelance writer and editor with features in Occupy.com, Truthout and Wilayah News.
  • Hassan Salamey

    Hassan is a spoken word poet, writer and law student from Dearborn, Michigan. He writes to not just invoke emotions or entertain, but to encourage the growth of religious, spiritual, and socio-political understanding as promoted by the grand scholars of the AhlulBayt (a.s). He has most recently been published in The Progeny Publications of Australia, and has performed his poetry at various venues, events, and conferences in the United States.

    Hussain is a Journalism graduate. He has been studying in the Islamic seminary (hawzah) in Lebanon since 2012.

  • Shaykh Husayn El-Mekki

    Shaykh Husayn El-Mekki received his Masters degree in Islamic studies at I.C.A.S. (Islamic College for Advanced Studies) and completed Islamic courses at the Islamic Seminary of Qom. He has spoken at numerous Islamic centers and university campuses due to his relatability with the youth, exceptional Islamic knowledge and public speaking skills.
  • Shaykh Murtaza Bachoo

    Shaykh Murtaza Bachoo grew up in Vancouver, Canada, where he was involved in organizing various community activities and youth initiatives from a young age. In 2006, he and his wife began their formal religious education in the Islamic seminary in Qom. They returned to Vancouver in 2010, and he has since been serving the various communities in the area.
