Biography

In Jacqueline Passey's 2008 piece on the Mott/Motte families,^[1] she notes the following children for Thomas Leonard Mott, son of Lovelace Mott and spouse of Mary Parker:

1. Jessee MOTT was born on 24 Jan 1827 in , Jones,Mississippi. He died on 15 Dec 1849 in ..Mississippi.
2. Josey MOTT was born on 31 Jan 1830 in ,,Mississippi. He died on 28 Aug 1858. Josey married Eliza CHAPPELL on 1 Jun 1848 in ,,Mississippi. Eliza was born about 1830 in Mississippi.
3. Miriam MOTT was born on 3 May 1832 in ,,Mississippi. She died on 4 Oct 1899 in Zavalla,Angelina,Texas. She was buried in 1899 in Zavalla.Angelina, Texas. Buried at Concord Cemetary. Miriam married (1) Andrew J. RUNNELS on 18 Aug 1849 in ..Mississippi. Miriam married (2) Albert J CLARK on 3 Feb 1868. Albert was born in 1839 in Mississippi.
4. Margaret Emaline "Liney" MOTT was born on 18 Aug 1834 in ..Mississippi. Margaret married Thomas Lewis HENSARLING son of Louis L. HENSARLING and Betsy BRAINNAN on 27 Jan 1848 in ..Mississippi. Thomas was born on 4 Aug 1827 in Alabama. He died on 3 Apr 1905 in Madison, Texas.
5. Lovelace MOTT was born on 5 Nov 1836. He died in 1863.
6. Joel L MOTT was bom on 24 Jan 1839.
7. Hiriam Peter MOTT was born on 28 Feb 1841. He died on 13 Mar 1916.
8. Thomas L Tommy" MOTT Jr. was born on 15 Feb 1843. He died on 23 Jan 1921.
9. Savage MOTT was born on 5 May 1845 in ..Mississippi. He died on 9 Jul1848 in „Mississippi.
10. Rodolphus Louis MOTT was born on 17 Aug 1848. He died on 16 Jul 1928.
11. Eliza Elinger MOTT was born on 25 Jul 1851. She died in 1919.
12. James Hanabel MOTT was born on 13 May 1854. He died on 19 Aug 1930.
